The X Rate Calculator computes adjusted share prices for corporate events (dividend, bonus and rights) using the closing price and the share’s face value.
Enter the inputs below to calculate XD, XB and XR.
Inputs
Closing Rate (CR) — Current share price before book closure
Face Value (FV) — Nominal value of one share
Dividend % (D%) — Dividend declared as a percentage (enter as percent, e.g., 20 for 20%)
Bonus % (B%) — Bonus shares percentage (enter as percent, e.g., 50 for 50%)
Right Issue % (R%) — Right issue ratio percent (enter as percent, e.g., 25 for 25%)
Formulas
XD (Ex-Dividend)
XD = CR − (FV × D%)
Use D% as decimal (e.g., 20% → 0.20)
XB (Ex-Bonus)
XB = CR ÷ (1 + B%)
B% as decimal (e.g., 50% → 0.50)
XR (Ex-Rights)
XR = (CR + (FV × R%)) ÷ (1 + R%)
R% as decimal (e.g., 25% → 0.25)
